For my Materials Studies class, we were challenged to design a pair of wearable shoes using only cardboard and hot glue. I chose to replicate my favorite pair of Vans. I sourced cardboard from a discarded mattress box and cut each piece to match the original silhouette. I then used markers to recreate the signature details and textures, resulting in a pair of cardboard skate shoes.
